I can't help but notice the use of "their own" in this case for black women,
where black men normally use "our".

I'm just sayin'...
In regards to the post I quoted, I took it as "Black women need to get out there and do it" or without looking for a man to do it for them.

In my own opinion, I do believe that any fixing is a community effort from both sides, not just finger pointing at who will do what. It was destroyed by "us", therefore "us" needs to work on repairs.

:patrice: i disagree

black men allowing BW to subsidize fatherhood off their table scraps is what partially got us where we're currently at. if black men kept doing the lion share and provided more than what whites were offering, BW wouldn't be so willing to rely on the government for assistance.

i mean, we see the same shyt today. we've got a culture of 'no tricking, no simping', with nikkas trynna get the p*ssy for a 5 dollar pizza. if black men were in a position to offer these chicks more than they'd get off them ebt cards or welfare, they'd be hardpressed to reject our offer.
i don't agree with constantly trying to one up and entire government in order to get support from our women

how about demanding loyalty and reciprocity and avoiding having your entire existence defined by your ability to give and sacrifice
for women who could easily be persuaded to turn against your with just a few government subsidies

The thing about honest race talk is that with white people, you give them an inch they take a mile.

It's already obvious where this is headed with your "you brothers need to x, x, and x talk"

So how about you crackers stop distributing crack to our communities and assassinating our leaders.

How about you stop imprisoning our young men and drugging our young boys.

Reminds me of that one like in the bible about pointing out the splinter in your neighbor while ignoring the plank in your eye.

good bust, book him danno

We do not defend our communities from thugs, pimps (pastors), and foreign owned businesses. We'd much rather stand in front of that Arab owned business and yell at every big booty chick we see. We much rather patronize these pulpit preachers who are pimping our mothers and aunties. We much rather defend the actions of thugs and drug dealers even when they hold our community hostage. This is why a lot of sisters do not respect us and I completely understand.

:what:

Negate the black experience to what you see outside your window on the block, brehs.

Can we stop stereotyping ourselves brehs. Black women are not a monolithic bloc, just like black men aren't a monolithic bloc. Everyone has individual reasons for why they like or don't like someone. Most black men date or marry black women\, likewise most black women date or marry men. How about we worry about ourselves instead of creating negative pictures of what we think most or all black men are like.

Women and men want many of the same things breh: someone who is respectful, honest, caring, has a good job or is striving towards one, has a sense of humor, can keep their attention, etc. It's not complicated.

i'll check it out later to tonight, but its hard to demand 100% loyalty when BM:

a.) don't have a strong patriarchy
b.) are verbally and physically abusing the women
c.) don't have a media outlet to attack all the negative propaganda about the black race as a whole.

i mean, i agree with you but i'm looking at the variables. BW looking at the situation like "what have you done for me lately" and nikkas haven't done shyt

Wouldn't you think they wouldn't respect those that started these conditions and rally behind Black men?

Group economics will be difficult to get going because black people are dumb as fukk. Even if you had a black-owned restaurant 'in the hood' other black people will refuse to go there. There's this false assumption that non-blacks deliver superior service/products. That self-hate shyt is super strong.

i dont know if i believe that :patrice:

there's plenty of successful black food-based businesses in south central. hell, that's about one of the few areas where i see black business thrive. we've gotta rib joint, soulfood spot, burger spot, fried chicken spot, jamaican food spot, etc all in a concentrated area, and they do well for themselves.

Are you sure they're black-owned? I know of an Ethiopian food restaurant around my neighborhood where all of the employees are black but the CEO is some white guy.

Really? Yay us! Now we just to spread this mentality nationwide. i think one of the biggest problems with us is the
"Pull yourself up by the boot straps" "I got mine you get yours" mentality we're not willing to help each other anymore

We need to start lending a helping hand to each other because no one else will
