When I see how weak democrats are it worries me about the future of this country. It just feels like Medicare for all is dead, reparations won’t even be discussed, our infrastructure is shyt, rising rent prices. They even telling you that you’re gonna bring your asses back into the office or get fired.
I see more and more folks I used to look up to pushing republican talking points. “I like my racism out in the open” “don’t vote”
When I saw men quickly defending the plot to end Roe v Wade I knew it was over. That’s when I realized they’re going to gain power and strip us of everything else.
I’ve been to marches and protests but now it all feels pointless.
Voting and legislating is the only way to win.
That said, Republicans are definitely going to win Congress back. We'll have our racism out in the open then for sure.

Today's democrats are yester-year's Republicans. Basically their whole style got jacked after Jimmy Carter's presidency and the back to back Ls they took until Clinton showed up. Clinton basically did 'compassionate' conservatism. Beefed up policing, expanded jails, whittled down worker protections with NAFTA, gave wall st the best gift he could've given them by repealing the glass steagle act. He did the kind of shyt Republicans were finna do, so what did the Republicans do? Try to move further right. Theyve been going further and further right until our current setup.
Actual democratic politics looks like Bernie sanders or Elizabeth Warren. What we've been getting is the party that Republicans should be. In most other countries the Republicans would be considered a far right neo-fascist party with their strong anti immigration, white supremacy and police state position.

It’s not even Democrat pols, or messaging, or weakness. It’s the fact that so many voters out here are fukking stupid. Cynicism has turned into skepticism has turned into conservatism has turned into super pro capitalism. The 1% has convinced a whole lot of people that they too can be part of the club, regardless of how poor, ignorant, or stupid they are. They use cult leader tactics, they are fukking chicken hawks, look at Elon Musk, he sends out “memes” and pretends to be “just one of the guys”, and weak minded people eat it up. They are stripping people of rights by creating boogeymen, and attack marginalized groups by hitting people where they know they will outrage, like claiming gay teachers are grooming baby kids (not once has this been proven) but on the other hand it’s just projection, because the right has a pedophile problem, but then watch babies get ripped inside out, and try to somehow tie it to CRT, and single mothers, while making it easier for maniacs to buy guns, not to protect the second amendment, but because gun manufacturers pay the best. The very second somebody finds “common ground” with this current Republican Party, throw them away, it’s over!

I had a conversation with a friend in Queens back in the day that we may have to fight these people.
I mean...literally. Not with voting or any of that shyt.
Like we might be heading towards a Civil War to literally defend democracy from fascism.
