Panthers LE Charles Johnson is dealing with a hip-flexor injury. It's pretty much the exact last news the Panthers' embattled defense needed. It's unclear what Johnson's status is for Week 5. Already dramatically worse than 2013 in the absence of Greg Hardy, the Panthers' defense would be in danger of becoming an all-out doormat were Johnson to miss an extended amount of time.

Rivera says Charles Johnson has a hip flexor.
