I wouldn't say that, he certainly started out crooked and doing it for the love of the money. But by the end, he picked up the Bible earnestly and begin to take the words to heart.

McBride grew up a county over from me. He used to swing through downtown Fredericksburg often according to locals, but it’s a rarity these days ever since he sold his home here.

Things like that pop out the most because this place is otherwise boring as fukk, lol. A lot of history though. No surprise to see him dive into that in the premiere.
