I noticed future on racks but didn't care until I heard true story mixtape. Had magic tony Montana long time coming, old hunneds remix, ain't no way around it . Basically just countless hit songs or songs that would be hits with the proper treatment. I went back listened to true story. Then listened to fdu/freebandz mixtape that's when I noticed he could write rnb. So then came streetz calling and same damn time rockin off around September-ish 2011. I thought nobody was gonna realize how great this mofo was at this music shyt then LA Reid saves the day. If ya do the history on dude ya gonna have no choice but to respect it. The autotune is a plus for his voice/tone

he's one rapper I never really followed or checked for but I was browsing yesterday and saw he has a couple of youtube videos that are in the millions. I also see that he has a new single with Kelly Rowland and these two things (views and collabo with an r&b star) makes me sit up and pay attention.

so can someone fill me in on the rise of Future......like what happened between Tony Montana (suppose to be his one hit wonder) to now that is responsible for his position? is he a one hit wonder or is he established artist that is here to stay? am I over-rating him? under-rating him? Is he an industry plant?

I don't know if you're overrating Future but you're DEFINITELY overrating Kelly Rowland.
