The rise of Ice Spice almost feels like a game or trolling IMO…

That's what Im saying.

If you gave me a budget and said pick a baddie off IG and make a industry plant not one person would invest into THAT lol...

Now, the poster that said that she was already popping with the youth in NY for some other social media stuff at least makes SOME sense..

And I dont see how this is hating, ears are ears. You don't have to like something to understand why it's hot.

I listen to ZERO Kodak and from what I've heard, I get it. NBA YB...Glo, even Sawatiee and some of those lamer artists like her...

But this chick speaks slow, like she's missing something, isnt funny, outgoing, or even have those hits that everyone bumps (AND DONT GET IT TWISTED, EVEN IN THE GROWN CLUBS A HIT RINGS OFF)....
This freestyle is what got her some buzz locally she’s really not that bad but it’s no way someone older and from OT is going to get her music the lingo she uses and the flow she uses and even shyt like her vocal pattern and accent which is pretty standard in the scene she came from…

U also wrong she is very personable and down to earth she’s around the way chick she’s super BX which is endearing to a lot of people. She’s not dumb she’s a college chick, she’s artsy, and clearly well versed in marketing all this “smoochie” shyt is an image.

She is going to top the Billboard soon her shyt is ringing off.

Tbh it’s over for the genre

Y’all just not ready to accept

There’s no jay nas Kendrick ye type coming to save the genre

It’s over
have to disagree. Like all things, the genre changed. Except for drill, i think that change is for the better. It's fun, light-hearted, and not meant to be taken too seriously unlike when Jay and Nas were in their prime when nikkas were living by their every word. You know how many dudes fukked their lives up trying to live by Jay's coke rap? Or how many nikkas thought Nas was some scholarly genius?
That era had a lot of talent but I'm happy it's over. Let them kids have fun and put their energy in other things.

it's a fun little tune idk what these dudes are complaining about

If you thought that cats ruined their lives over Jay-Z lyrics, think about the tens of thousands of brehs that sacrificed their blocks because they listened to The LOX and MOP?

Yall didnt want to believe when I said she appeared slightly syndromic:francis:. Having a fat ass doesnt mean you cant be disabled. There was special needs girl in highschool named Crystale who had a fat ass and giant breast. Nobody would openly admit the attraction, but we all knew. We rarely saw her,but she wasnt retarded or crippled. Just spoke slow, like she was missing something. Probably making $1000 a night at PinUps or Magic City now:respect:

its good branding and connects

her team did right by capitalizing off of that song and putting new material out immediately instead of working/milking the one hit to the ground

She’s like 19-20

She’s not for “us”

Probably the first mainstream act in rap that I just don’t “get” but realize it’s mainly an age thing. She makes rap for children
Nah I’m not going for that

I got ears and sometimes that “this ain’t for us” excuse don’t apply to everybody, because none of these people are indi, which means people older than “us” liked they shyt…

I 1000% understand the game.

Just because someone is technically “trash” doesn’t mean that aren’t hot or don’t make sh!t you either don’t want to admit is pretty cool to listen to, or know you would ringing off too if you were a teen (Lil Nas X, Sawatee, Drill Music, etc)

I truly just usually see her lane accompanied by someone killing the looks department, and she ain’t that - and the little I’ve heard her speak, it’s like borderline Austism like lol…so to be as big as she is getting is wild to me…

But thanks to those that actually explained that she pulled some artsy from the Bronx social following and flipped it into music. Makes sense. She will probably get the Lil Nas X manufactured fame stimmy pack…

On a side note, my “old ass” is waiting for Doecii to blow cuz she the hardest to me…

Oh, and I heard this joint on the radio “FreakyT” that had me like :ehh: *add to Spotify
