Overall, I do agree with the premise but I'm still thinking that launch windows are for the enthusiasts who will drop the cash. However, I don't think we will hear about price today but we will probably be able to speculate based on the specs. I'm still thinking until I see it, is that it will be $399 because I think that Sony might have PTSD going above that price point for a console from the PS3. I've paid 599.99 for that console at launch and never regretted it.

I think both consoles will be very, very close in specs. I think the biggest difference will be the ssd technology in which i think Sony will be way faster at loading game data/textures. Since there's so much talk about TFlops, i predict anywhere from 10.9 to 11.4. I think the controller will be revealed,maybe not the box (they might tease it).

One X was stated to be around 2080/2080ti territory? As long as Sony hits that mark and isn't $700 they'll be fine. If I'm PC set though I'm holding out for these AMD cards in the fall

SSD not even any faster and the CPU clock is only 3.4ghz
