it's probably something like the rock is a special ops agent in charge of "protecting Christmas" either because the holidays can be replaced by other holidays or because the evil spirits of the holidays come out and try to mess it up.
the problem is that all the feelings of the holiday are tied to the people so if the holiday changes maybe the people change
and he has to defeat some evil entity.

The Rock has no classic movies, which is surprising considering how much of a world beater he was as a wrestler.

But even there he wasnt acclaimed so to speak in terms of his ring work. His skill is literally being one of the most charismatic people on Earth and a very hard worker, but in no avenue whether it was football, wrestling, or movies was he the literally “best best” at the craft.

Next step is for him to start being a co executive producer of his own films so that he owns a piece of the film.....and is paying himself.

He's an action star, not a Julliard trained dramatic actor.

An action star with no memorable action titles under his belt. Where's his Rambo, Commando, Die Hard, or Taken at? He's a success and a hard worker all the through no doubt about it but all true action stars have at least one defining role and movie no matter what. Not sure what Amazon is thinking with this move either
