He another one but he was a throwback mma fighter. The reason why he got pummeled by silva and henderson was because he thought his fat ass could compete with actual athletes.

Not to disrespect fedor but a lot of the guys he was facing were . Props for defeating cro cop but you saw what happened to him.

Silva had a pretty big size advantage and was actually good. Other big guys he faced did suck (Hong Man Choi).

Henderson caught him fair and square but Fedor floored him before that. Nothing horrible about that loss to me.

I remember reading that his trainers said that his speed and reflexes were slowing around the Arlovski fight.

I think he did get exposed somewhat with the step up in competition but I also think age and wear and tear played a role. Those strikers go downhill quickly once the speed goes, where as wrestlers can get away with the speed decrease for longer period of time. Fedor was a hell of an athlete and had incredible quickness on the ground and on the feet. His punching style was ugly though.

That's why he stayed breaking his hands. Dude threw arm punches. Hard as hell and fast but still arm punches.

No I fully agree. I follow MMA and know as much as anyone that looks don't mean a whole lot.

Wrestling is different, though. It's more of a cartoon come to life. Even the moves are laughable from a logic perspective (irish whip??), but that's what makes it what it is. Give me the likes of Batista, Warrior, Goldberg who look like super heros come to life. Give me HBK and Rock selling each move like they were in a car wreck. I don't want real, I want different and over the top.

Not to mention that while Fedor was fat, he was still plenty big and thick. Dude looked strong. Punk is fat AND small. Looks weak. And even in MMA, the majority of guys are pretty lean, especially in the lighter weight classes.

Not too many shower,weights, clue's running around in MMA.

I just don't get why y'all think we Punk fans are mad about this. We had a year long reign. Why would we be mad? Cena hinted at Punk and Dwayne doing a triple threat at Mania with him. For us, that's good because it completes Punk's dream of marqueeing Mania and putting him on amazing.

Rock was part of the greatest era ever(at least ratings wise)..of course there's gonna be casuals from then to see him as champ..I can't even hate on it. I'm a punk guy but I bought the ppv cause I knew atleast whoever won was gonna be a nikka I liked.

Wouldn't have mattered who the champ was out of the current roster, them ratings were gonna be 2.9-3.2

You're also fronting if you think this has more to do with rock > Punk as opposed to rock +punk = ratings.
