Been surfing the net to see what folks think on that promo Rock cut after the Rumble. Looking at tweets and comments etc. What are yall thoughts on that joint? Im seeing alot of people blasting Rock's demeanor here and saying hes being a dikk and too harsh. And that he was flustered and shook.



I dont see it though brehs. By far not his best work but at the same time I cant really judge this because it was a random, off the dome interview.

It makes me question just how much people REALLY know The Rock. This was no different from his 2003 promos.

This also proves to me that people wouldn't be able to handle Dwayne if he was really going out there and being like this. Cause this is how he was. Ruthless with some humor and hardly laughing at the shyt he would say. I guess people have been blinded by the past few years of mild Rock. The fruity pebbles and kung pao bytch borderline PG Rock material made some of yall forget. The one time he actually turns up the heat, hes labeled a dikk whos mad and being too harsh.

I've seen Rock clown interviewers before, but this was in no way funny, imo.
It was mad awkward.
He looked off and sounded pressed. Was a far cry from his usual shtick when he'd rip on Coach.
I think he was bothered by something, albeit maybe his cousin getting booed or Vince for putting Reigns in that situation in the first place.
Sidenote, but Rome looked like Dwyane's kid here, too.
You can tell he told him to just follow his lead.

This was one of rock's worst promos ever.

He was clearly flustered and pissed

And he looked like he was trying to do all the talking for reigns

The "I'm gonna go watch tape" line was reigns was pretty weak for someone wh is supposed to be a bad ass

heh, poor Tom. He asked how Roman felt and told that was a bad question. Then moves on to Brock.. the whole reason for winning the Rumble, and told that's going too far ahead. Then told to ask about tonight, which he did with the first question

shyt was terrible all around.

Should have had Renee do it as I don't think they would have acted the same.

I blame the lack of chemistry between him and Tom. When he sonned coach it was funny, and Coach facial expressions and demeanor sold it. Same with michael Cole and the Rock.

I'm telling you I don't really don't see how Rock was flustered and off here. Again, this is no different from the shyt he was pulling in 03. Rock was being ruthless here and it's been a long time. My point might be true then.

Some of you saying there wasn't any humor but there was. The Samoan pancake line, telling folks to stop laughing, clowning and saying hell slap the interviewer, looking and asking if brock was around cause he didn't want to get hurt if Brock heard him clowning him, doing his catchphrase etc.

I'm not saying this was a good interview cause again I'm not calling thus a true promo in the first place, but I don't see how rock was off. If anything he was finally back to being how he should have been all along. Ruthless with a dash of humor.

Just watched it again and while Rock was agitated, it's understandable.
That's his blood who'd just gotten booed out of the building.
It reminded me of the big brother taking up and speaking for the little brother.
Rock couldn't help but be emotionally invested because that's his little cousin and I'm sure he doesn't want him to fail.
I can't get mad at him for doing and reacting the same way any one of us would have done.

Rock was wack as fukk here but it was still fire. Its literally a prime example of how charisma trumps everything. Its also a prime example of how much roman reigns sucks. Hes beside a true star and looks completely out of the water.
