9th and black milk are two of my favorite producers. So I'm eager to hear what 9th has in store for this.

In all honesty I should neg you, but from the looks of things you don't care about being a good poster so I won't bother.

being a "good" poster doesn't pay my bills and for your information, I made a post long ago asking to be negged because a "rep" on here doesn't mean a damn thing to me.

Vanilla Ice is a multi-platinum seling "artist" so, you're not saying much, if anything at all, dweeb

This should be a dope one, if they're taking it back to what they were doing on Illadelph. I'd be good with the sound from Things Fall Apart too. That album was their third classic in a row, to me.

Would be really cool if they brought Malik B back in. They don't need him, but the group had a doper feel when they had him and Thought going back and forth.

Rejoice, good people. It appears The Roots have finally broken ground on the follow-up to 2014’s …and then you shoot your cousin LP. Taking to Instagram, Questlove previewed some of the work being done on the new album, tentatively titled End Game, with a clip of Procussions alum Stro Elliot getting busy behind the beat machine with some very funky chops of chicken-scratch guitar. Karriem Riggins has also reported his involvement with the project (see below) though little else is known of prospective collaborators.

Questo likened the production process on the forthcoming seventeenth studio album (including collaborative albums and EPs) to that of Illadelph Halflife (celebrating its 20th anniversary this year) where they’d sample their own jams and blur that analog-digital divide. No word on when we can expect the album to drop, but it seems something’s on the way and it’ll surely be worth the wait. In the meantime, you can always catch the crew on The Tonight Show or Questlove at any of his other 30 jobs.

Sounds dope!

Looking at that picture though, the only original members are ?uestlove and Bllack Thought...James Poyser been affiliated for years...but thats how bands go....people move on I guess. The original dude on the keys dude and bass guitar cat were super crucial...

I hope this process is still the course. Would be dope to get an Illadelph type joint from them.

Sounds like they went in the same dark political direction they've been in for a decade now:francis:

And he needs to stop fukking around and bring back The Soulquarians instead of Soul Train. Hip hop needs that collective dearly right now
