They just showed the trailer during the Clark Sisters film.
I can only go off that gif but it does not look like the 80s I hate when they can't catch the essence of the time period when you can't do that it already takes me out of the biopic.

AgreedTHE GIF SAYS LIFETIME
SO THATS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW
ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE MOVIE.
just gonna watch the "Push It" segmentI can only go off that gif but it does not look like the 80s I hate when they can't catch the essence of the time period when you can't do that it already takes me out of the biopic.

I agree this is also why i could not take the Notorious film seriously it looked like it was 2008 or whatever year that was lol.just gonna watch the "Push It" segment
as far as 80s authenticity for biopics/films, I think the New Edition film did the best job.
I saw the kid scenes, saw that some of the them were wearing Nike Cortez and "karate shoes", and said "ok, somebody is on their job"
=============
I thought Paid in Full was a good film, but I needed to see some Lees, LeTigres, and BVDs

inexcusable in both casescosign on new edition bro, they did a wonderful job of capturing that era
paid in full? jesus christ what the fukk was with the baggy 2002 cut jackets and jeans when this is supposed to be the 80's? it really took me out of it sometimes
Yeah really unless the salt n pepa people handling wardrobe and cinematography are under 30 they should not at the time notorious came out unless the was under like 23 they should have known imo.inexcusable in both cases
they could have looked at album covers, music videos from a few months before the scenes were supposed to take place to buy the wardrobes for the characters
the scene where Mitch is home and drives down the strip with dudes saluting him....is comical......
