I don’t know why people keep expecting him to talk or say something regarding his “people” when dude is an entertainer, not a politician or freedom fighter. Who the hell is expecting DJ fukking Khaled to have anything enlightening or profound to say regarding that situation? That would be like expecting Souljah Boy or Fabo to take a stand against Police Brutality or speak in favor of reparations. They AIN’T the ones for that.

What an awful shytty cynical thing to say.

Of course you do not need to be a fukkin freedom fighter to shine light on the ongoing genocide of Palestinians. No one is asking him to join Hamas. But he is still one of the most highprofile Palestinians in entertainment. Will a Khaled statement stop Israel from completing their holocaust? No, obviously not. But the least he could do is use his profile to try and reach more people. A lot of people in entertainmnent are still too shook to say anything for obvious reasons, but more are starting to speak out, and with every celebrity that does say something, more will feel comfortable in doing so, which will help spread the word even more and force the media to not ignore the reality of what is happening.

To have actual blood connections of the land and not say a word, is disgusting.

Okay. This podcaster named "Matty Balls" made a video about a successful artist like Khaled.

fukk Balls opinion.

Everyone should watch the Naurduar Khaled interview where he talks about his come up in Miami.

When I saw that I grew to respect Khaled alot.

And for Khaled to unite so many greats in hip hop is indeed what the world needed and needs.

But Matty Balls got 400,000 views for making a hate video. Slow clap ya fukking goof!

Brehs just come out and say it for what it is. Khaled is a culture vulture who profited off nikkas. He's all about the bottom line. Ofcourse he won't come out and say a word about the conflict because he's got his hands all over Jewish money. It's bad for business. How stupid can you be to not understand that. If homie was on principle he would have came out and said something simple like "it's fukked up what's happening to my people and wish for peace." This sand rat cant even come out and say that. That's despicable to me. Especially coming from someone who has profited by doing nothing. He has zero skills and just yells on the mic. He's super annoying and brings nothing of value to hip hop.

I’m gonna say I really never minded Khaled and I liked a lot of his albums. He had some good joints on them. I took issue with him saying the n word but when he got called out on it he stopped saying it so :yeshrug:

He used to DJ a lot here in South Florida. There was an underground/pirate station he used to be on called Mix96 as well. He did have clubs and shyt rocking way back in South Beach....then he got into doing dancehall mixes, sound clashes, etc....everything snowballed from there.

He used to make beats too.

I remember Fab and Cam giving Him Shouts out in 07

i get what you're saying. but i think souljah boy/fabo is a poor comparison. SB for example has never pretended to be anything other than an ignant, troll-baiting, wannabe gang member. and a bad rapper. khaled's entire online persona was built around forced positivity and hollow motivational messaging. now, here's an opportunity to actually put some weight behind his brand positioning annnnnnddddddd.... crickets.

meanwhile, people like fredwreck have used their platform to speak out, and he's not nearly as prominent as khaled.
