ehhh

just because superpowers want to exploit a continent, it doesn't mean its a great place to live and set up shop.

those two things don't necessarily tie together like that

:stopitslime: do you have any idea why those super powers want to exploit the continent?

Do you think every single African country is the same in wealth and industry?

Do you not understand there are african countries with cities that look exactly like NY or chicago? Or do you think every where you go on the continent is huts famine and diseases?

Truth, the Super powers are there because they know without the resources of Africa they lose they ability to monopolize on the resources in the planet losing their economic grip on the planet.

For those of us who lineage trace back to parts of West Africa it would be intelligent for us to bond and unify with those nations who will allow us in order to develop trade so that we can develop our communities and kick all the pale arabs, koreans and Indians who do this with their countries out the black community. We loose leverage with becoming a powerful nation because we have no connection with our original birthplace and watch everybody else here in this country have that connection. Even through war and Russia falling america has never cut ties with Europe, the Mexicans Puerto ricans etc never cut ties with they homeland, same for the chinese, japanese, irish, italians, European jews, etc. So what's the common denominator? We continue to be on the bottom of civilization here and throughout the western hemisphere because we lack the network and trade with our original homelands whereas other so called minorities have that network in place so they can trade and set up funding etc to establish a community and economy all stemming from their ties to their homeland.

So at what point do we wise up and see how everyone else is beating us economically and educationally is doing and we start to do the same? Or do we continue to allow a beast who does not want to watch the blacks in america and south america and the islands rise in status sell us this false divisive depiction of our birthplace through their media and keep us divided?

just saying they're not the same thing.

and its not like you're going to buy a condo based off those mineral deposits. it doesn't work like that. nation interests =/= community or individual interests.

The Democratic Republic of Congo has wealth that is worth trillions and trillions of dollars. So much potential...

If the DRC were to stabilize to first world conditions and become allies with the China and Russian, it would be bad for us(the West). Its a no wonder that the country might never know peace. Think about it. The material that the computers we are typing on comes from that country. What if that country wasn't on our side?

Just got done watching this documentary about the assassination Lamumba and essentially European powers got rid of him because just like Nkrumah before him he believed african nations and their resources and wealth belong strictly to Africa.

I'm gonna start doing some more research, but so far between the Congo and Ghana, Europeans were directly responsible for the violence and corruption that is in place in those governments.

If Africa is to be saved, all of her children (us in America, the carribean, and Europe) will have to come together to force the imperialists out of our land.

The bolder is the goal of pan Africanism. Not only are we to have a unified Africa where Africans control the resources of the continent, but Africans all over the world benefit from the economic and military power of these African governments.

The Congo is a good example of the West not wanting an African country to stabilize. It mustn't for the betterment of the Western world. The country is a treasure chest. Ever since the imperialism era.

Many people will disagree, but only African allying(becoming a puppet) with China can ward off Western influence in Africa. Just look at Angola. Its Western free due to the help of Cuba, the Soviet Union and China. And China has shown its not afraid to give its "puppets" nukes e.g North Korea. If the diaspora wants to help then they'll have to go in with a business minded attitude and nothing else like China. A business minded attitude that benefits both parties.
