Those are still around and because everyone felt sorry for Derrick Rose, now those escalators spike crazy for a young guy. Perhaps they should treat those Rose rule guys as a signing bonus that doesn’t impact the cap instead of just all converted to salary.

I am talking all that shyt. Unlimited bird rights and no max salary. If you wanna reward good drafting thats the system. Everything since just makes it harder for teams that draft well...because teams dont want to actually pony up that bread.

Teams always had to be smart. Now they can be cheap and they have an excuse and being smart is actually punished.
What the league removed was dumb teams having a larger margin of error because they could eat more money.
This existed in the 90s? No that was a result of measures they have taken since then like I said.

which led to a small market giving out the biggest contract in sports which freaked out everyone. We're going way back in time with this. Since '99, we've seen 2 lockouts and another one that almost happened. The owners tended to get their way because the players' union was terrible. Said it a million times on SOHH and here. Players got hip to finding loopholes.

As long as they haven’t played an NBA game, teams should still get draft pick discounts. And for me, I would let it be a rookie season discount. OKC should get an SGA discount.
Why we punishing a team for making a smart trade and a player for going somewhere that wasnt his choice under any circumstances? I personally dont have a problem with dudes making moves in FA. But if you want to limit that you gotta reward teams that draft and trade well and make it worth players while to stay put.

person 2: 5 million salary (from the team), 20 million from a commercial (from the owner of the team) = The owner pays you 25 million

in this scenario, person 1 is probably also getting 20 mil from commercial (from the owner of the team)
