What is to be done? Time for that heel turn? Where is he going with this pointless title reign? The guy is just floating and catching heat every other week out east and west.

Pointless stop and go mid card pushes seem to be his future. But let's be honest, he only ever got his push because he's one of HHH's buddies and embodies a lot of white Irishmen fetishes about being tough. Does he have any classic promos or matches or angles under his belt?

That's probably the only thing to do at this point. Which babyface is sympathetic enough to make the audience care? The Usos? Ziggler? Reigns?

I mean he could screw Ambrose during his feud with Rollins. He could screw him over because can't believe Ambrose has a better world title opportunity than he does, and he beat him for the US title. The only problem is the WWE doesn't do well with "fed up" angles. You could also go with the Authority route, but that's pretty boring.

Christian could challenge him for the US Title on some show (preferably RAW or a PPV). Sheamus is a babyface, so he accepts. Christian wins, Sheamus snaps and beats him so bad that Christian can no longer be an active competitor. Due to some horseshyt reason, Sheamus is presented the title (ala HHH) and acts as if he went through a grueling tournament.

1. Squashed by Russev so we can have East vs. West for the United States championship. You pick the proper American to go there, any will do.
2. Heel turn based on the rage and discontent that follows his humiliation.
3. Hard-hitting, full body contact feud with Cesaro or Barrett when he returns from injury.
4. Profit.

Not true. He was interviewed and stated that the whole 'workout buddy' thing was a complete fabrication. Sheamus (and Barrett and Drew McIntyre) had some hot times on the British Indy Circuit - but nobody gives a damn about that, sad to say.

This may very well have something to do with it. I don't know the numbers, but it seems like a lot of little kids are wearing Sheamus t-shirts, so they keep Sheamus smiling like Ronald McDonald and to me that kills his character.

If ever anyone needed to do an "I lost my smile" promo, it's Sheamus.
