Most of the time a return them, but some of the times I don't put them with the other carts. But I'll never leave a cart in a place where it can start rolling and hit someone's car. I'll put it on the grass/dirt, or prop it up on a curb.

This makes no sense . Most time the return spot for a cart is 10 secs away . Lock the doors , put the cart away go back to the car .

This is a pet peeve of mine. An abandoned cart can hit someone's car. You're also making it more difficult for the cart collector to do their job. It makes them have to go all over the parking lot instead of simply going to the assigned spot. I feel that people that do this are similar to people who throw their trash out of the window. Just low level behavior.

I have a medical condition that prevents me from putting carts back where they belong.

Trying to make me put the cart back goes against my constitutional rights.
