Even my phone company is pushing this spotify shyt. The entire industry is probably salivating at the thought of everything being digital, thus getting rid of manufacturing costs, but still charging high rates lol
exactly. fukk being strictly digital. fukk I look like paying the exact same price(sometimes higher) for a digital ps4 game when it comes with nothing but a code and you can never sell it.

Digital should be cheaper to reflect that they dont have to manufacturing costs. fukk paying the same money for a shyttier product that you never truly own.

I'm not liking this move. One of the reasons I bought the dvds were for the commentary, which is hilarious. Commentary doesn't exist if I'm watching this online
They might put em on itunes w/special features, but im the same way with most movies i buy...love commentary tracks and tons of extras.

YES... literally NO other studio is doing this... no other shows on fox are even doing this.. no other industry (music, video games) is even doing this

just the simpsons

yes companies are leaning that way... but to completely cut off dvd/cd/bluray sales.... nah.. this ain't about the tech

Not a fan of this, as it this will make it harder to find free streams of an episode years after they air. Look at how hard it is to find an episode of Black 90s sitcoms, a lot of them shyts aren't even on the net.

Probably because most of them suck. The ones that are any good ("Fresh Prince", "Martin", "Cosby Show", "A Different World", & etc.) are all available.

Read about this last night on flipboard. Couldn't get it to show on web to post. Anyways, I think this is a terrible idea. I grew up on the Simpsons like others in here and have been collecting the dvds myself. Yeah I know there's the Simpsons world app and every episode is available online but I enjoyed collecting the dvds. And it's a way to support the brand. Sure there is a question of quality deteriorating thru out the years but there are still a few gems thru out. Besides with 26 seasons and the brand they have created, I'm willing to support them. They may not be as consistent but I can't imagine a year of my life where the Simpsons won't be on there anymore. I know digital is the future but you posting the same thing for the same shyt. Sometimes it's better to have it physically.

made perfect sense

every industry that uses physical media... has not given up on physical media... including the movie/tv industry

so this is not some new move because we are moving towards DD

this is simply for the simpsons dvd, which probably wasn't selling enough hard copies to make it worthwhile

Nah, I get you but you're jumping off the edge...

Dude's just want the DVD sets for the convenience. You're somewhere without internet access or you just want to watch a couple seasons when your streaming service of choice either doesn't have said season or that show is EXCLUSIVE to one service (e.g you got Netflix, but that shyt is only on Hulu)

Nobody said you had to be a collector so you're overreacting... Owning some seasons to a few of your favorite shows doesn't make you a collector.... You like that one particular show and want to actually on the shyt for convenience.
You are contradicting yourself because for "convenience" they went totally digital, now you can be in a port-a-potty in the middle of the fukkin woods taking a shyt and still watch all 25 seasons of the simpsons.
The maybe they don't have it angle you went sounds good, but one day you sir will learn for every netflix there is probably 2,000 free Netflix type sites on the internet that have everything free in HD within 10mins after it airs. Then there are the probably 10,000 to every 1 netflix site that streams live TV for free.

You didn't know about these sites? Well sir, we talking future here. In the future you will know about some of them. I already peaked your curiosity, google it and eat right now bruh bruh :handshake:
