The Simpsons seasons won't be available on disc from now on

You are contradicting yourself because for "convenience" they went totally digital, now you can be in a port-a-potty in the middle of the fukkin woods taking a shyt and still watch all 25 seasons of the simpsons.
The maybe they don't have it angle you went sounds good, but one day you sir will learn for every netflix there is probably 2,000 free Netflix type sites on the internet that have everything free in HD within 10mins after it airs. Then there are the probably 10,000 to every 1 netflix site that streams live TV for free.

You didn't know about these sites? Well sir, we talking future here. In the future you will know about some of them. I already peaked your curiosity, google it and eat right now bruh bruh

Of course I know about these sites, it's not convenient to go searching the web for a show that has most likely been taking down due to copy right infringement when I could have had a portable DVD player with a couple seasons on hand.
This digital thing can bite you in the ass music wise as well, say your favorite artist makes there music exclusive to Tidal. But then a slew of other artists you like are exclusive to such and such.. You going to pay for multiple services? That's convenient?

I just like freedom, bootleggers will find a way around this though I'm sure.

I been trying to get into "Static Shock" for years, but Warner Bros. has never released season sets for the series on DVD and only season 1 is available to buy digitally on iTunes and Amazon Instant.

That has to do with who uploads shyt too. Most people who upload shyt are white males (or foreigners who upload white male shyt). A lot of black media never gets uploaded simply because there are no uploaders who watch it.
