Didn’t think it would make much money since I thought it would have a low budget, but turns out it had $40 million budget. More than half must have went to The Rock’s salary as this movie looked like an indie flick. Overall, felt the movie was good. Definitely the Rock’s best acting job so far. However, this isn’t close to an Oscar nomination worthy performance. At best, a People’s choice award. Definitely did not deserve the 15 minute standing ovation he got at Cannes.

People clamoring for an Oscar nom for a run of the mill performance are crazy. Just because Dwayne wasnt pretending to be a GI Joe in this movie doesn't mean it was an Oscar worthy performance.

He's not really a good actor. I'm an mma fan and there are a lot of stories that would have made for a better movie, but maybe not that Dwayne would have starred in.

So I was watching this rock interview from his recent press run and he said the GOAT UFC fighter is either Jon Jones or Mark Kerr :beli:

Also said his favorite conspiracy theory is flat earth :patrice:

It's possible that Kerr is not a top 15 all time fighter. Rock is such a self serving capper.
