At the end of the day, the South made catchy tunes.

They didn’t rely a lot on sampling like NYC.
Nah, we did a lot of SOUL samplin early on. VERY prevalanet in a lot of Rap A Lot, Suave House shyt early on. Maybe not the same type using chops and shyt, but we def sampled.

Yup.

That's why I always was like :huh: about that shyt. South BEEN sampling old school soul since southern rap artists started making noise in the early 90s. Yeah, we had 2 live Crew and booty music in Florida/GA, but soul sampling been a thing below the mason dixon.
