After that he was trash. N wayne started using a eastcoast style to around the time he got hot

Jay career outlast err1 n da south , and err1 else in any other region also

This isn't true at all Scarface gets a lot of love out here in Jerz/NY. Maybe some midwest/west coast cats chime in.


I would say Lil Wayne transcends region.
Outkast (though I wonder how respected they are outside the ATL)
TI is getting there
Ludacris is getting there

that's about it.

But Scarface is unquestioned, he's been in the game longer than all of those guys, survived a much more competitive era, almost literally off the strength of the music, he adapted to changing times and he could still be a top force in the game if that's what he's interested in.

Nelly a southern motherfukka, the entire Drill scene is just Trap with a different name. Everybody uses Southern slang. NY's hottest rapper right now jacked his style from Three 6 and the southern scene in general (A$AP). The south has easily dominated rap since the mid-late 90's. Stop being rapper racist.
