The Heat pretty much present a lot of the same trouble for the Spurs as the Thunder, that said I'd give them a better chance of beating the Heat than the Thunder. They have an elite shot creator in Parker, and they have great ball movement which is the real way to beat the Heat, get them into rotation and by the 3rd or 4th pass you have a clean look.

They would need hot shooting, and most importantly Splitter would have to really step it up and help Duncan on the glass.

it obvious the heat would be favored against any team including the spurs. but i agree that of all the teams in the west the spurs have the best chance.

Thunder are a worse team than they were last year, while the heat are better, so no.
any other team could get beaten as easily as any team we play in the first round.
but the Spurs have strengths where we are weak.
1 strong point guard
2 talented bigs
3 good rebounders
4 great coaching(spoelstra isnt a bad coach but he isn't far above average either)
5 elite depth
6 not as turnover prone as the thunder(westbrook) which limits our fastbreak points
7 most important we arent in their heads. We got them thunder boys shook as fukk :heh:

Thunder getting blown out by the 1st qt every game confirms they shook before the game even starts

I don't think they are shook, it's a matchup issue more than anything else. The Thunder and Heat are really similar in how they're built, it's just that the Heat's 3rd player (Bosh) is much better than the Thunders (Ibaka). And then after that the Heat have superior roleplayers, especially in regards to being two way players. The Thunder have more specialists, while the Heat have guys that can either make impact with defense or offensively on a hot shooting night.

They really don't matchup that great with the Heat, but matchup incredibly well with every other team in the league.

it is a matchup issue, no denying that, but being blown out after 12 minutes is a mental issue when the THunder have the record they do, the bobcats are even still competitive after the 1st qt with the Heat

The Spurs can beat Miami because they have a legitimate post scorer in Duncan. Parker if healthy can get his own shot and has become a great playmaker. Manu is still Manu.

The key is the young guys like Splitter cleaning up the glass, Green hitting shots, Leonard doing the same and working on D.

I know one thing and that is that OKC has no chance vs. MIA in a 7 game series. Coaching and strategy is on the Spurs side and game planning for them won't be as predictable for MIA. With OKC you already know KD and Russ are gonna get their shots and play a lot of one on one. The Spurs though ALWAYS get great shots vs. any defense cause of their ball movement.

The Mavericks two years ago were masterful in their ball movement. It also helped that no one could stop Dirk.

The Heat play to the level of their competition more than any team in the league, it's how they have close games with the Magic, yet murder the Clippers, or go to OT with the Kings but lead the Thunder wire to wire.

I think it's more matchup than anything else, they are really similar, but the Heat run better offense and have better two way players.

What puts the spurs over the top is the bench play. That's why I might pick them but Lebron still plays for the Heats.

I still think the Heat would be the favorites but i kind of think that the Spurs would be them if everyone was healthy and playng well. They have the penetrating poing guard and the dominant big man that gives Miami trouble. Plus that defense is damn good too. I wouldnt be mad as a fan of the game if we got this series this year instead of the expected rematch of last years finals.
