Something about the graphics drivers being not updated to handle it, people complaining about a black screen. I just had a similar issue 1 hour ago. i had to system restore my shyt.

You ducks gonna hate no matter what dollar Bill does. Windows 8.1 is god body. I only hate that most are 64bit, my 32bit emulation/driver/apps getting hurt. Otherwise, touch is a great, metro mode keeps me up to date, and having to full screen apps running at the same damn time shyts all over OSX.

Get wit it or get lost, the best continues to get better :salute:

I can rock with the pop up start menu; it's modern

But, my only problem with Windows 8/8.1 is it's obviously built for tablets and touchscreens and I have a regular PC

I don't wanna see the old school start menu

at this point, it's pretty much a given that every other windows release will be :trash:

windows 98 :win:
windows me :trash:
windows xp :blessedrose:
windows vista :trash:
windows 7 :ohlawd:
windows 8 :trash:

Pretty much.

I work in IT support and nobody is even THINKING about upgrading to Windows 8, nor was anybody seriously considering an upgrade to Vista. Pretty much everybody went from XP to 7, and likewise they'll wait for whatever comes after Windows 8. The damage is already done and people have already decided against Win8, Microsoft might as well just keep it moving.

They  by trying to force a Mobile OS onto desktops.

We already have Windows 8 test images available in our environment. We just started giving out Dell E7440 laptops that have touchscreens on them. If you got a touchscreen Win 8 is fine. Now with their improvements I'm sure we'll push it to everyone.

That's one hell of an if...

None of the PCs in our environment have touchscreens (most of our laptops are Dell Latitute E6410s) and we don't have the budget to change that, so there's no way we're fukking with Windows 8.

IMO Microsoft should've done different versions of Windows 8 for users with touchscreens and those without.
