I’m a big believer in the idea that each individual is a part of a much larger system similar to how the universe is made up of planets and stars. Those planets and stars and everything within them consist of elements. Those elements are made up of atoms. And those atoms are made of neutrons, protons and electrons. Everything is the same depending on your perspective.

The internet is no different. Niche sights filled with people discussing their various interests. On The Coli, we revolve around hip hop and sports. On other sites, the conversation might revolve around bodybuilding, shoes, or politics. One of the more common reoccurring themes discussed in The Booth, is the state of masculinity within Hip Hop. In The Locker Room, it’s a general running conversation about the state of Black male masculinity. MRA sites are a given for these topics, obviously, but with a focus on White males. Men are angry all over the internet and having the same conversation, narrowed and focused through their preferred niche.

The empowerment of women and gays, as currently envisioned by Western Civ is unprecedented in human history and the repercussions are unknown. Outside of the religious elements of today’s clash with Islam, is the greater conflict of empowering woman. India stays in the news for sexual violence towards women. The US military is dealing with a huge crisis of integrating women into the armed forces and sexual assaults against women (and men) is an ongoing concern.

So, what’s going on? Where do we go from here? I have a hard time believing that the entire world is going to suddenly spin in another direction. Are we (men) on the wrong side of history? Has an organized system (humanity) ever radically altered its behavior and components without collapsing?

I think the less we try to control, and the more freedom we give to people, the more naturally we will evolve. The planet has for many years been under harsh male, left brained control for survival reasons. But as the planet evolved, this is lessening. It is natural. Just don't fight the processes of change, retain self-respect and dignity. We are moving towards a more free society. We live and evolve to achieve utopia. It's nature. Man just gets in the way (left brain, control)

I want to believe this. Is there any evidence within society or within other system to support the idea that freedom leads to evolution? Or that patriarchy isn't the evolved response to matriarchy? There have been periods throughout history where the gods were women and civilizations were organized around them.

I believe the problem is our failure in constraining hyper feminism. Giving women too much power will lead to the kind of society we have today. A society where hyper sexuality and teenage pregnancy is the norm (and increasingly embraced). Where women can file false rape allegations and the man gets convicted within a split second. Where a woman can get paid $100k a month from a divorce settlement because the husband was 'too perfect'. A society where we overreact to school bullying.

I don't want to come across as a misogynist and advocate oppressive measures against women. But a woman's thought process is emotion-based and lacks logic and reason, therefore, they shouldn't be given too much power. This is a man's world.

Freedom within order. I believe there is a natural order to the world, but with our god given free will and consciousness we are able to separate ourselves from this natural order.

I believe humanity as a whole, has been going through it's evolution much like the chakra system. Survival, Pleasure, Willpower, Love, Truth, Insight and finally a world perspective, Crown Chakra.

As above so below, what the individual goes through society goes through as a whole and vice versa. All for One and One for All.

I believe our patriarchal society is literally like having a Father. And how does this Father treat us? What is the general consensus to the role of Father in society. More importantly, who gets more attention? Good Fathers, or Bad Fathers?

A Matriarchal Society, I would say look towards native societies. They take a Mother Earth view to how they live. They see Mother Earth as their caretaker, and they return the care.

In the end, it is all about the Collective Consciousness of Society. What we agree or disagree upon as a whole. What we accept and do not accept as a whole. And how this trickles down to the individual. Are we even aware of our Collective Consciousness, within our Country or as a Planet? How do we use this awareness to live daily or plan for our future.

Is our society even cohesive enough to HAVE a direction? We all wake up on the same day. Yet does our country have a plan as a whole to where we want to be in 20 years? Does the individual know their place in society and in that plan? Do the governing bodies do an adequate job in leading the country towards these goals?

These are the questions that society fails to ask. We are at the point in our evolution where we are able to have this discussion. It is possible for all of us to chime in via Twitter. We have elected officials to do this for us and it has lead us to this point. Yes we still need leaders, but I think it's time that Society starts to look at itself as a Single Entity, or Organize itself in a way where we can move forward toward a Utopian society.

Now you begin to see how some individuals hold us back from this. But is it their fault for growing up in the world as it was? No. But it is time we start consciously shaping our environment to breed the type of people we want to see, who can operate and live in the Utopian society we are trying to build. It won't happen in this generation but for our grandkids? Maybe. We have come so far, either we have lost sight of that goal, or never dreamt to achieve it in the first place.

This is a safe space. No judging here. The PC language trap is a large part of how we got to this point.

Me, personally, I'm pro gay-marriage and no more bigoted towards women than I am any other group that isn't me. I just want to know where this is going.

Gang violence...
i agree, individuals are parts of a larger whole...

and i have seen it too, MRA issues are gaining traction on the internet...

i disagree strongly, however that the empowerment of women and gays is unprecedented. western civilization was built by people we would consider at least bisexual, and some other civilizations were matriarchal before being taken over by middle eastern religions. we can study the past and see that greeks and macedonians can build strong societies capable of conquering just about anybody. female dominated societies, not so much...

:rudy: Teen pregnancy rate is probably at its lowest point in history right now.

TEEN PREGNANCY HAS BEEN DECLINING FOR SOME TIME EXCEPT IN THE REGIONS WHERE FUNDAMENTALIST CHRISTIANS REFUSE TO LET KIDS LEARN ABOUT CONDOMS, BROTHER!

Where women can file false rape allegations and the man gets convicted within a split second.
DESPITE THE BLEATING OF INTERNET MENS' RIGHTS ADVOCATES, FALSE RAPE CONVICTIONS ARE EXTREMELY RARE AND HAPPEN FAR LESS OFTEN THAN FAILURE TO CONVICT AND UNREPORTED RAPES, DUDE!

Where a woman can get paid $100k a month from a divorce settlement because the husband was 'too perfect'.
ALIMONY HAS SOME ARCHAIC FEATURES BUT IN LIGHT OF THE FACT THAT WOMEN STILL MAKE ABOUT 75% OF THE PAY MEN MAKE FOR THE SAME WORK, IT'S FUNNY TO SEE THIS COMPLAINT, MEAN GENE!

A society where we overreact to school bullying.
OVERWORKED ADMINISTRATORS ARE JUST TRYING TO NOT GET SUED, JACK!

a woman's thought process is emotion-based and lacks logic and reason
THE HULKSTER SEES GUYS ONLINE SAY THIS ALL THE TIME AND THEN TURN AROUND AND COMPLAIN THAT WOMEN ARE DEVIOUS, SCHEMING, SUPERVILLAIN-LEVEL CHEATERS WHO PLAY THEM LIKE FIDDLES, BROTHER! WHICH IS IT, DUDE?
