I’m a big believer in the idea that each individual is a part of a much larger system similar to how the universe is made up of planets and stars. Those planets and stars and everything within them consist of elements. Those elements are made up of atoms. And those atoms are made of neutrons, protons and electrons. Everything is the same depending on your perspective.
The internet is no different. Niche sights filled with people discussing their various interests. On The Coli, we revolve around hip hop and sports. On other sites, the conversation might revolve around bodybuilding, shoes, or politics. One of the more common reoccurring themes discussed in The Booth, is the state of masculinity within Hip Hop. In The Locker Room, it’s a general running conversation about the state of Black male masculinity. MRA sites are a given for these topics, obviously, but with a focus on White males. Men are angry all over the internet and having the same conversation, narrowed and focused through their preferred niche.
The empowerment of women and gays, as currently envisioned by Western Civ is unprecedented in human history and the repercussions are unknown. Outside of the religious elements of today’s clash with Islam, is the greater conflict of empowering woman. India stays in the news for sexual violence towards women. The US military is dealing with a huge crisis of integrating women into the armed forces and sexual assaults against women (and men) is an ongoing concern.
So, what’s going on? Where do we go from here? I have a hard time believing that the entire world is going to suddenly spin in another direction. Are we (men) on the wrong side of history? Has an organized system (humanity) ever radically altered its behavior and components without collapsing?

Teen pregnancy rate is probably at its lowest point in history right now.
