^exactly. This thread isn't about the evil that women do or the virtue of men.

The empowerment of women and gays, as currently envisioned by Western Civ is unprecedented in human history and the repercussions are unknown. Outside of the religious elements of today’s clash with Islam, is the greater conflict of empowering woman. India stays in the news for sexual violence towards women. The US military is dealing with a huge crisis of integrating women into the armed forces and sexual assaults against women (and men) is an ongoing concern.

So, what’s going on? Where do we go from here? I have a hard time believing that the entire world is going to suddenly spin in another direction. Are we (men) on the wrong side of history? Has an organized system (humanity) ever radically altered its behavior and components without collapsing?

Let me just go ahead and ask the obvious question -- how does the empowerment of men and gays affect your masculinity at all?

That's a good question.

It doesn't effect me in anyway directly. It does narrow the field in which it operates and what is societally permissible.

I'll post some examples of the over-prescription of attention deficit drugs for boys and the academic performance shift that's occurred over the last 25 years when I'm not on my phone.

I’m a big believer in the idea that each individual is a part of a much larger system similar to how the universe is made up of planets and stars. Those planets and stars and everything within them consist of elements. Those elements are made up of atoms. And those atoms are made of neutrons, protons and electrons. Everything is the same depending on your perspective.

The internet is no different. Niche sights filled with people discussing their various interests. On The Coli, we revolve around hip hop and sports. On other sites, the conversation might revolve around bodybuilding, shoes, or politics. One of the more common reoccurring themes discussed in The Booth, is the state of masculinity within Hip Hop. In The Locker Room, it’s a general running conversation about the state of Black male masculinity. MRA sites are a given for these topics, obviously, but with a focus on White males. Men are angry all over the internet and having the same conversation, narrowed and focused through their preferred niche.

Just to clear something up, most MRA's do not care about the empowerment of women and gays, i support gay rights, and shockingly(if you follow any of my posts about gender) i also support the feminist idea that females should not have to live under the authority of men.

The major complaint most MRA's have is that feminism & feminists have completely misunderstood the roles and "privileges" of men in society - their Patriarchal theory is wrong and misrepresents men. Western women have never been oppressed to the extent that feminists want you to believe.

Feminists also seem obsessed with the social justice theory of privilege. This theory, although most feminists wont admit it or recognize it as such, is used to silence the lived experiences, lives and emotions of men.

"Why should men get equal public funding for health care...men are a privileged class, they don't need it" This is a bigoted sentiment that most fem's wont directly express, but there is a under current of this type of thinking in social justice camps.

Do i think most of the women on college campuses are evil man hating Nazi's who want to rob men of everything, no of course not. However, because patriarchal theory is wrong, yet feminists still use it to enforce public policy, they are directly affecting and hurting the lives of many men. The college women who are into feminism & social justice issues are also guilty of hurting men by proxy because they believe and support the patriarchal theory that their women's studies professor teaches them.

How does treating women and people of alternative sexuality like human beings make being a "masculine man" any less permissible? Is being a masculine man defined by treating those two groups as if they are inferior?

I'll wait for the non-phone response.

I don't want to come across as a misogynist and advocate oppressive measures against women. But a woman's thought process is emotion-based and lacks logic and reason, therefore, they shouldn't be given too much power. This is a man's world.]

TEEN PREGNANCY HAS BEEN DECLINING FOR SOME TIME EXCEPT IN THE REGIONS WHERE FUNDAMENTALIST CHRISTIANS REFUSE TO LET KIDS LEARN ABOUT CONDOMS, BROTHER!

Replace teen pregnancy with out of wedlock births....

ALIMONY HAS SOME ARCHAIC FEATURES BUT IN LIGHT OF THE FACT THAT WOMEN STILL MAKE ABOUT 75% OF THE PAY MEN MAKE FOR THE SAME WORK, IT'S FUNNY TO SEE THIS COMPLAINT, MEAN GENE!

This is not true.

THE HULKSTER SEES GUYS ONLINE SAY THIS ALL THE TIME AND THEN TURN AROUND AND COMPLAIN THAT WOMEN ARE DEVIOUS, SCHEMING, SUPERVILLAIN-LEVEL CHEATERS WHO PLAY THEM LIKE FIDDLES, BROTHER! WHICH IS IT, DUDE?

Christina Hoff Sommers: Wage Gap Myth Exposed -- By Feminists

The AAUW (American Association of University Women) has now joined ranks with serious economists who find that when you control for relevant differences between men and women (occupations, college majors, length of time in workplace) the wage gap narrows to the point of vanishing. The 23-cent gap is simply the average difference between the earnings of men and women employed "full time." What is important is the "adjusted" wage gap-the figure that controls for all the relevant variables. That is what the new AAUW study explores.

The AAUW researchers looked at male and female college graduates one year after graduation. After controlling for several relevant factors (though some were left out, as we shall see), they found that the wage gap narrowed to only 6.6 cents. How much of that is attributable to discrimination? As AAUW spokesperson Lisa Maatz candidly said in an NPR interview, "We are still trying to figure that out."

More information to be found here:

An Analysis of Reasons for the Disparity in Wages Between Men and Women

http://www.consad.com/content/reports/Gender Wage Gap Final Report.pdf

A greater percentage of women than men tend to work part-time. Part-time work tends to pay less than full-time work.

A greater percentage of women than men tend to leave the labor force for child birth, child care and elder care. Some of the wage gap is explained by the percentage of women who were not in the labor force during previous years, the age of women, and the number of children in the home.

Women, especially working mothers, tend to value “family friendly” workplace policies more than men. Some of the wage gap is explained by industry and occupation, particularly, the percentage of women who work in the industry and occupation.

Basically, women have the same jobs, they just don't work as much as men.

How many of these MGTOW/MRA cats have had overall positive experiences and relations with women? Let's keep it real.

I have had many positive experiences with women. I love women, but i see them for what they are. I also see how the state supports women's choices at the expense of men. It's all good though, most people are just upset that men are starting to critically think their place in society, and are not giving in to the gynocentric view. Butthurt that we won't be their slaves anymore.

Reduce men's support & obligation to the state, that is all i care about anymore.

Women are not payed less than men. They have not been payed less than men since the 1970's. 30 years of lies. Please check your facts, dude. Alimony is also criminal. Men supporting the state and women at their own expense. We will not be slaves anymore.

LETS GET FREE. No more alimony and no more child support. No more women dictating men's lives.
