Where did you work while you was in college?
Pumped gas at Mobil for freshman and sophomore year. Apple retail for the remainder of college
Where did you work while you was in college?
Word of the day
How many times is this strategy going to fail before the left acknowledges it doesn't work?
The issues driving the student loan problem have nothing to do with taxes on the rich being too low.... so correspondingly raising taxes on the rich won't fix them.
"Solve problems" by completely ignoring their root causes brehs.
Because student loan interest has to be eradicated(fully knowing that the gov so charged interest by the banks on the money they loan to students)
Only thing I want is for degrees to have different pricing
Making a sociology degree or something in that vein $10,000 while engineering and stuff in that vein is $20,000 would do wonders
There's no reason why every degree should cost the same
It's not the goal if the state to keep a surplus? So in that scenario what pays for the upkeep, expansion, salaries etc of the colleges?
The Church? It damn well won't be the state who can't keep a surplus to save their lives.
Why can't people just pay their loans off? I did. There is no magic pill and it's not going to "go away". People are way too self entitled in this country.
I think student loans especially from the government should have a near 0 interest rate. Or it should be free. Students do enough to stimulate the economy that there is value in having them study in cities and towns around the country.
With that said if you have student loans you should pay them. You signed a contract and now you honor it. It drives me crazy that people think there aren't consequences in life.
Another thing, I don't have hundreds of millions of dollars but stop trying to tax everything to death and manipulate the economy. It doesn't work. It has never worked.
as far as that aipac blah blah blah goes if you don't feel Israel has the right to defend itself you've got a screw loose. no country in the world would stand for the things that they've endured over the years as the world twiddles its thumbs.
It's not the goal if the state to keep a surplus?
There is more than enough money to fund this plan
I was with you up until that last paragraph.
The colleges pay for it is my answerIt doesn't seem like you have the life experience to answer the question or you didn't read it because you did not respond to what I typed.
that's fine
Endowment & adapting their business model to the changewith?
from where?
You're problem is that you listen to respond instead of listening to you know...........actually listen. It's why you used to get mad at me for telling you were wrong in the most respectful way possible while going back and forth consistently with liberals on here like 88m3 who were straight up calling you stupid. It's because you're prepared for a battlezone back and forth where everyone just advocates their position and doesn't back down uncompromisingly but you're not prepared for a nuanced discussion that involves making a policy and political analysis. Your entire mode of debate is centered on counter-arguments in search of an affirmative argument. You literally make the EXACT SAME ARGUMENT in every thread irrespective of the subjective matter so you're prone to the same rebuttal that you have never been able to respond to. The rebuttal is simple--there are multiple means to attack a problem , making certain adjustments does not mean that you believe that you think a single policy is the ultimate cure all.I didnt have to read it to know shes not solving the underlying problem. We wouldn't need a financing scheme if tuition weren't out of control (and people weren't on the hook for degrees they didn't complete). When you take a solution based approach to problems you have a much better chance of solving them.
