Aw thats cute. You're the victim, right?

My point was that I'm not special. I knew I couldn't afford something so I didn't buy it. I didn't take a loan out for it that will never be repaid. I didn't burden myself or the system with my education. I took it in my own hands and did what I could which was work two shytty ass jobs while going to school full time to pay for it. I choose a far less expensive school than what I was accepted into. You know why? Its not cuz I'm special. Its cuz I'm not a fukking retard.

Keep rewarding people for bad choices, breh.

Anybody will say anything on the internet.......Either you went to school in the 80s.....or you're over exaggerating or flat out lying.....You said you paid your loans off....So I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you graduated colledge in 2000....College tuition has risen at least 50% on average since then while salaries have remain stagnant....and to top it all off, you would worked during an economic and employment boom which is happening right now...

But I expect you to come back with a lie and say you graduated in 2011 and payed your loans completely off in 3-4 years via your own self determination and grit.........no outside help whatsoever.....:smugbiden:

No one would because its a terrible investment for most people which is why the government takes care of that. The issue is with the PERSON TAKING THE LOAN. Not the damn corporation or government.

Ok.....The person taking the loan is a 17 year old...and you just admitted its a terrible investment....So why make an investment in something where the rate of return is likely nill?

I don't really care if you believe whats written on the internet. I don't exactly have a reason to lie about something so petty. I graduated in 2009. Started college in 2004. I went to UMass, failed out my first year cuz I didn't attend, went to CC for 2 years, went back to UMass after and got 33% off my tuition since I went to the state CC and graduated. I ended up paying 6K for two years of CC and 13k for the last 2 years of my bachelors(cum laude) at UMass. So yea, I worked the entire time and paid it off as I went. Its not a foreign concept. Its how it was done for many years before the credit card generation came about. I graduated with no debt. I didn't have any white privilege help, no handouts, no scholarships, no grants, no military money, no nothing. I could have gone to BC and spent 40k per year to get the same thing I got out of UMass. But I didn't. Enjoy your debt breh and don't ask me to help you pay for it. You chose it. You live with that decision. No yuppie bullshyt here. Take responsibility for yourself and don't give me that bullshyt bootstrap argument. Most people are too idiotic to realize the choices they make can come back and hurt them later. I'm not one of them and now I don't have any debt from my education.

And my post isn't meant to be a look at me post. We're going back and forth so I'm giving my personal view and life story on it. Other posters in here have done the same thing being responsible with their debt/education and have come from far different backgrounds than me. Its not a white/black thing. Its personal responsibility. I keep repeating that but it is what it is.

Aint nobody ask you pay for shyt and I'm splendid on my end......And quite frankly, that's the type of elitist response I respected. But you still didn't answer my other question so again, miss with this elitist rhetoric about what you did when their are scores of people that got swindled on their student loans....and there is no way you can deny that....Whether it was hidden interest rates are an unpredictable job market....

That''s why its the perfect hustle to run on 17 year olds and not 25 year olds who have experienced living on their own and paying bills..

Only the government can do this. If you land a job based off your education that the government subsided, then you are paying the government taxes for the rest of your life. They make a huge return on the "investment" into your education. No corporation will follow suit because it IS a terrible investment and the risk is enormous. They only get paid on the loan and no residual. Therefore, if you don't pay your student loans(i.e. like the 40 million in the article) then its idiotic for them to continue giving loans.

Its elitist now to want people to pay for the shyt they bought? Damn, learn something new everyday.

Most 17 year olds have at least one parent in the household who can guide them financially. For those that live on their own, thats fine, Ill agree with you on that but everyone else is a cop out. In the information age, with kids being the most tech-savvy, its irrational to think they don't have all of the necessary information to make a sound decision on their future.

The rules always change when white folks think their tax dollars are gonna get used on someone who is marginalized.....

Anyone who thinks that someone who is barely old enough to drive and see a rated R movie is somehow mentally and emotionally savvy enough to foresee the potential consequences of student loans and unstable job markets, is being totally disingenuous......period.....

Especially when these kids have been conditioned since the age of 12 to take the money and go to school....College has been marketing and branding itself to kids for capital gains, not education...and its been happening the last 20 years strong now

Breh go attack the education system thats ripping people off. That seems to be your motive.

I graduated with a Finance degree while the market was crashing. You don't need to tell me about the unstable job market.

:usure: Word. Lets pretend white people aren't a large portion of the student debt. Whatever makes you feel better and less of a victim :yeshrug:

Sorry you didn't have access to parents, friends, peers, teachers, guidance counselors, Google, common sense or a calculator to warn you about the risk of taking out more money than you should.
