As a teen who wasn't a cholo, the same shyt happens with us. They try to clown us for not being "down". But when you realize from a very young age how detrimental street life is, and you make a choice to not get involved in their fukkery, it saves you in the long run. Its only years later when you meet up again and they have done a few runs locked up that they start to understand why you chose your path. Its not that people like me weren't "down", we just weren't stupid. You can be street smart without doing dumbass shyt.
