The Heat don't have what BKN wants either.

The Celtics have it but they would lose their identity. They are also division rivals.

Milwaukee would have an interesting package if they made a phone call.

Yep they got Kuminga and Moody waiting in the wings, both showed they can contribute already. If they can get Patrick Baldwin Jr to produce in a stress free role as a catch and shoot guy, I think their bench will be fine. If you can teach a complete non-shooter like Gary Payton II to shoot, then I'm sure they'll be able to get PBJ's shot back on track

Durant situation is feeling a lot like kobe Bryant situation when he was ready to be traded by the Lakers. Nets want a deal that blows the league away. Durant wants a team that can compete now. No team that is competing has the "blow you away" package either because they just don't have the assets or the asset they do have can't be traded to the nets due to Ben Simmons being there. Durant wouldn't want to join a franchise who is pretty much gutted due to the trade that got him there. And just about none of these teams that are competing have the draft compensation. They can offer 1st rd picks but all those picks will be in the 20s.

Nets might have to settle for a deal they don't like.
