Also this kinda sets the marker for Tyler Herro a bit
Like I don't think he can be asking for any max extension if he was. Agent should be basically ask to match what RJ got. I think Heat would be crazy to sign that though. They have so much wrapped up in that bum Robinson, giving another $30mil/year to a bench player would be crazy

nikkas laughed at me when I said RJ had a high value around the league. The jazz damn near don’t even want to do the deal without RJ

I don’t think the Heat want to let him go into training camp without an extension.

I guarantee Ainge wants no part of Barrett knowing he was due to be paid, so to act like this ends trade talks is laughable to me

He probably knows he will have to take on Fournier to get the draft pick haul he wants and I bet he’s okay with it…. Not like they’re looking to contend in the next two or three years anyways, plus they’re not a cap space team
Barrett was never even included in the majority of the hypothetical trade, so why would it end the trade talks? Hell if thought highly of Barrett like that, then they would have been perfectly fine taking him in a deal and paying him.

Jazz have Mitchell for the next four years at basically the same price as what Barrett is about to get.
I don't think they're pressed on trading him unless a team is going to blow them away with an offer.
