My tepid take is that the TWolves will actually be pretty damn good this year but it may not reflect as strongly in the standings as it did for, say, MEM last year... largely because DEN, LAC, & NOP should all be notably better as well by virtue of starting the season at full health (for however long that lasts).

Even if ppl think Gobert is just a glorified/overpriced Clint Capela... that's still an S-class post-defender, rebounder, and lob threat to have. Ant is who will be interesting imo. Guys like Kobe, TMac, and Amare took their big leap at 22, so Ant -who just turned 21 last month- may still be a year away... but i figure he'll make noticeable strides.
Is that a Spirit detective reference :why:

In no particular order:

Warriors
Mavs
Clippers
Nuggets
Suns

I'd say all those teams are a lock to finish about them, so then they'll be in the mix for spots 6-10. While their record should improve, I don't see their standing improving that much.
I think the Suns comes crashing to earth and gets the 6th seed with Memphis getting 5th.

The Sarver situation and Paul underperforms to the point the media and maybe himself believes that this is his last season in the League.

Them and the Magic could get to 30 wins this season, with the Magic challenging for the final play in spot
Yeah I really think they're going to be one of the teams who's going be a lot better than their record indicates.

They about to play in a stacked western conference, so I expect their record to not be as good but they'll get plenty of great experience and in 2-3 years they'll probably be in contention.

Everyone knows the core lineup, but they got great talent everywhere on that team such as Garuba. Houston is focused on building a great overall team rather than building a team around 1 player. They've really done good.

I like the Magic team a lot depending on how good Paolo is in year one they can win even 40 games this season.

It wouldn’t shock me to see Phoenix taking a drop, I just think with the way their season ended they’ll want to make amends and maximise whatever time CP3 has left; this is essentially their last season to do it as a unit. Their squad is virtually unchanged and almost all of their players are at an age where they can still perform at a high level.

It’s rare for a team to win 60+ games and then go into the next season and fall off a cliff like that, especially when their weaknesses are really only exposed in a playoff environment (where 3-pt variance is in full effect), which again, they’ll want to make sure doesn’t end up being their demise all over again.

Memphis is tough to give a projection for. I’m not sure where to put them. They lost depth and won’t have JJJ to start the season. Who’s to know if they caught the league unawares last season and end up equalising back amongst the pack, or if they their trajectory is only on the rise. If Ja inevitably misses time, I don’t think they’ll perform at the same level they did without him last season.

The Suns will still be a top seed but the playoffs are what's questionable with them
