Don't you mean, why the hell would the Spurs do this. :gucci:
I don’t know why the Spurs would do this.

And honestly I don’t see the fit between Murray and Young—I get the idea that Murray will “cover up” for Trae’s defensive shortcomings but I don’t see the fit overall.

I can see why the Spurs would do it. Dejounte is like Jrue Holiday. Yea, he's an all star but he's not an ALL STAR. He just happens to be someone who was named to the team. They probably want to draft Sharpe, they have Primo and then they surround him with Collins and their other wings. Makes sense to me.

They have a plethora of guards and probably planning to draft one. Makes more sense to free up mins for Primo and presumbably Sharpe to devellop while getting John Collins who is younger than DeJounte and fills a need. realistically what can dejounte do for the spurs right now if they're rebuilding?

I actually like the fit.

Dejounte showed he could play that sidekick role alongside DeRozan, where he didn't need to be on the ball, on every possession. Trae's definitely going to need to make some adjustments, but they both balance out each other's weaknesses. A playmaking-defensive guard is exactly the type of player that Trae needs to be put alongside, and really, there aren't too many of them around.

Dejounte is a winning player; Collins is at the other end of the spectrum.

If the Spurs plan on going in a different direction, they can do a lot better than trading one of their very few valuable pieces for an empty calories player.

An empty calories play like hmmm… Andrew Wiggins right? :mjlol:

Even when you win, you lose.
