Wizards claimed TB off waivers on July 2, 2018 when LAL was clearing every bit of cap room to sign LeBron.

It was one of those rare times the Wizards front office actually did something right. With the Porzingis arrival to DC and Gafford re-signed, TB wouldn't get consistent minutes.

Hopefully his offensive game gets back to pre-ACL injury where he was highly efficient. His defense especially in the pick and roll is atrocious and he gets caught ball watching. He does block some shots when he does react fast enough. Coach Ham is going to have to really get him to not be a liability. Having Davis helps..

If Lakers keep Westbrook, he was developing good chemistry with TB before he got hurt in early 2021 too. Troy Brown is also there so another guy he knows how to play with.

Glad TB will be able to play regular minutes going back to the Lakers… who get their 2017 2nd round pick back.
