Indiana didn't want Fox. If Haliburton didn't get moved, Sabonis wouldn't be a King. He'd be somewhere else. Fox fukked up his value big time over the course of the season.

They traded away their depth and defensive identity for Westbrook and lost everything in the process. They were the number one seed in 2021 before Bron and AD went down, they were barely above .500 last season when Bron and AD were healthy. That trade singlehandedly closed their window.

yall are probably right. it was my understanding that Sac gave up Haliburton when it wasnt necessary. Once i read that all the other league's GMs were floored to see Haliburton in the trade, it led me to believe that indiana never asked for him
Not only a discount, but the structure of that deal benefits SA more than anything and makes him a prime trade candidate because of it down the road. I don't get why his camp would agree to that kind of deal.
