Why does Immanuel Quickley avoid the paint?
This is a guy with a free throw percentage well above 80%. Typically guys who excel at free throws are good shooters. And to be fair, Quickley has done well from three so far in his career, shooting .365 over his 2 seasons.
But it seems that's ALL he ever shoots, since he's a career .393 FG shooter.
In his 2 years in the league, inside 3 feet he's .626 and from 3-10 feet he's .421. That's pretty solid.
I can't understand why this guy wouldn't attack the basket more. It figures that it would make him far, far more effective.
Now maybe NYK has no intentions to make him any sort of focal point but maybe it's just me....I see some value there.
