I wouldnt hate Paul Millsap as a vet big pickup maybe? Can stretch the floor a bit and just knows where to be defensively

any word on who we are looking at? feel like we need to add a vet big and a vet wing, just bodies that can give you 20 minutes a night and know where to be defensively and hit an open 3

I want to look up AK's 2nd Round Pick history to see how often he hits with late selections. We already know he selected the GOAT 2nd Rounder in Jokic

we've talked about it here but I will maintain I think that a big part of why AK/Marc are content shipping away draft capital to get productive players is because they have very high expectations for Pat Will - if he can develop into a 2 way, borderline all star type guy this team could be deadly in a couple years

shots are going to get a bit more crowded now with Zach, Derozan & Vuce so Pat needs to be aggressive & decisive when he does get the ball - he should have tons of space to quick trigger open 3's and attack off the dribble

I think they are super, super high on him though - we all know this team as currently set isnt going to win a title even with the massive roster improvements but if Pat develops into what he can be, this team could suddenly be making ECF runs in 2-3 years from now once he establishes himself

we could also likely get some draft capital back by moving a guy like Coby down the road if we choose before hes due to get paid - or maybe even a future protected 1st right now for a Lauri sign/trade

I still think Coby has a role on this roster though as the main gunner/scorer on the bench unit: Coby, Caruso, Troy Brown, Vet? / Simonovic, Bradley

• we're gonna need him to score with that lineup tbh, but Im sure a guy like Demar will be rotated to play with the bench unit a ton to improve their scoring

I think Patrick Williams role here will be eerily similar to what kawhi was on the spurs with Duncan ginobli and Tony Parker. Utility guy who defends the opposing teams best player helps with rebounding and moves the ball to make sure the offense stays fluid.

In this role though I think he can develop properly. Gives him a couple years to learn and develop his offense. His tools on defense are already there imo.
