I think you guys are stretching here.

I don't think you're wrong for pointing out her change in rhetoric, but I don't think Hillary's anti immigration stance is similar to Trump's.

For starters, whether we want to be honest about this or not, everyone is against undocumented immigrants: black, white, spanish, latino, african, indian, chinese - everyone. The immigration issue, like healthcare, education, and poverty, when viewed through an altruistic lens, will lead you down a dead end street.

What ignited folks against trump was his vitriol in calling Mexicans rapist, calling Chinese immigrants anchor babies, and stating he would close the border to muslims. For many Americans on both sides of the aisle, trumps views weren't wrong, his emotions were irrational; those are two completely different points.

The story here isn't Clinton flip flopping or changing her rhetoric. Obama deported the most undocumented immigrants since FDR, and minorities still love him. No the story is finding out which bills she's alluding to, and seeing who else, politicians and businesses alike, supported them.

The way to beat Hillary isn't by confronting her, it's by attacking those around her who share her views by forcing them to distance themselves from the Clinton apparatus.
