He still disobeyed police orders and confronted Martin.
Obviously none of us know the real deal. Somebody took the first blow. And now someones dead.

how do we know he's lying though?
what bothers me is that my whole basis for my understanding of this was that HE pursued Martin and a scuffle popped off and he shot the dude
if Martin came out the bushes while he was going back, slammed his head repeatedly, etc.. even though Zimmerman started it, what was he supposed to do at that point?
I'm just really bothered by these facts leaking out that first we saw the vid his head was ok, now we see it's bandaged, we see another pic showing it's profusely bleeding, etc and now he's saying martin came out and attacked him blah blah
My initial problem here was that if a black dude had killed a white dude he'd have been arrested while this guy was not
but in the post arrest phase we have to wonder what now?

His pops went over the statute with him and told him all the elements he had to prove. He then came up with a story that fills all the elements of the defense. I see shyt like this all the time reading police reports.
Breh, if you honestly believe this is a realistic possibility, I don't know what to tell you. We have more than enough background info on both Trayvon's character and Zimmerman's at this point to be able to call bullshyt on this ridiculous scenario where the teen pursues Zimmerman, jumps out of the bushes, savagely assaults him, tells him "you're going to die tonight."
this is why I'm a programmer and not a detective, if I hear two versions of a story I start by assuming 50/50 chance on the truth of eitherthat said wasn't Trayvon on the phone with his GF and she heard him ask dude why he's following him? That surely contradicts this idea of Zimmerman being asked if he has a problem replying no and still being attacked

With the ridiculous amount of prejudice and discrimination in this country, your truth-detector has to be recalibrated appropriately. I know a guy who was an A student who got stopped by 2 cops near Harlem one night on his way home from his afterschool program- they tried to pin him down and shove a bag of cocaine in his pocket. He managed to break free and run, without the bag. By sheer luck they didn't catch him or shoot. Not an analogous situation, but you'll pardon me if bias prevents me from starting at 50/50 in some situations, particularly when some of the facts are already public.

Trayvon had the right to be on the defensive. If some stranger is following you, you never know what they're up to. I've had strange people follow me in the past and I'd reach for my waist pretending I had a gun and they'd back off. This situation isn't uncommon. Zimmerman was on some faq ass Logic86 shyt right there, I would be mad at someone following me like that too.
However his fatal error was getting violent when he confronted dude and Zimmerman said he didn't have a problem. From that point he should have asked "Then why are u following me?" and maybe this whole tragic situation could have been avoided. Travyon would tell Zimmerman that his dad lived at such n such house, and Zimmerman would have called the police and let them know that it was just a false alarm. Instead he began punching dude like an uncivilized animal.
Basically Trayvon died because he let instinct override rationality like many young, dumb people do so often.........
You never know who you're fukking with so its wise to be rational and attempt to work things out with words, Travyon learned that the hard way unfortunately.
That's the conclusion I've came to after watching this, but maybe there's more to the story?
