He's gonna finish his career top 10 all time scoring with 30K points, that alone puts him in the HOF, not to mention his NCAA chip as a freshmen.

Those two accolades alone get him in the HOF and he still has at least 4-5 more seasons to possibly ring chase.

Plus, he's gonna finish with over 200 million dollars in NBA cash banked plus all his Jordan brand bread + other endorsements.

Melo's basketball career doesn't seem that bad to me :yeshrug:

He made it quite clear when he resigned with the Knicks
It was even before then imo. I think he saw in real time how he was scrutinized differently in comparison to Lebron during those early years when there was little difference between the two. Being labeled the thug, the lesser player, the less accomplished. Back when neither had accomplished anything but his road was more difficult. One guy had the green light to do whatever and was losing playoffs to nobodies and Melo had a restrictive coach and was losing to the Finals winners and looked at as the lessor. After the suspension, I think he saw shyt for what it was and said "fukk it, let me get this money"

tell that to melo see what he say
He won't say anything. He has had many opportunities in life to go to a good team but turned down for money. He was supposed to be in Original big 3 with Wade and Bron but he took the Nugget extension, he could have joined the Bulls (I know they were trash after) but still he went with the money. He is about money..I don't blame him..money>>> and he can still win a ring, lets see how his career plays out.

I always thought the same thing. The reason Melo didnt take that same deal that wade, bron and bosh took. It was because dude stayed in trouble getting suspended and shyt .I dont think he wanted to leave money on the table cause he didn't know what the future held

I agree. Plus I think George Karl jaded him. That Knicks team a few years ago wasn't bad tho.

They got the 3rd seed in the east than J Kidd retired and they couldn't even make the post season with the same team:dead:
