Weave to me is a sure way to take away your uniqueness as a black woman.

Now I'm sure there are circumstances where it's understandable but not in most cases.

1. Pure sodium hydroxide will eat thru a metal can in 4 hours. Diluted sodium hydroxide will not eat thru a scalp in the 20 minutes the directions on a relaxer insructs as the processing time.
2. I dont wear weave. Its too expensive but if I could afford it I might.
3. I dont get relaxers. Its too expensive and I prefer my hair to stay natural. I do color my hair which can be just as dangerous or damaging.
4. I dont think theres anything wrong with wanting to change your hair for the sake of trying something new. HOWEVER I do think there is something wrong with hating your natural hair to the point of damaging your own hair and/or scalp to hide or camoflauge it.
