I won't even get into how powerful it is that Kaep did.

I'm usually the cynical one. But, this is great, IMO.

We need to create those avenues but as of right now, white media is the only way black public figures can reach black America en masse

aight, so after reading this, it makes melo's comments in the other thread look worse...these articles make it seem he is more concerned about being the face of the protests for change, than the actual change itself...i say that cause a couple things...ex: in this one he talked about how cops have agreed and said what is going on is fukked up, but they still stand with the other cops cause of the shield....then why and the hell did he try to diminish/belittle kaep in the other article?...why not do the same shyt the cops doing, showing that united front even if they dont agree?...

another ex: how he made sure to emphasize that he talked to kaep and was the one that told kaep what he should do next/how to proceed...like he's the driving force behind it....

another ex: he said the donald sterling thing was a chance to make a powerful statement; yet he didnt do/say anything cause 'it was bigger than him'...what the fukk?!?!?!....so you saying you were scared, gotcha.....not only that, him belittling/criticizing the clippers protest about it and saying what he wouldve done, yet he didnt do/say shyt....yep, confirmed, you scared....

...i fukks with melo, but yea, you can tell he jealous kaep getting the attention/love he probably thinks he should be getting...like @NYC Rebel be saying: it's like cats are fighting over who was woke first....melo is showing signs of doing that....

yea, what's going on isnt new, shyt been going on since we(blacks) got to this country, but this is a new day and age when it comes to education, technology, people's awareness, etc....it's time for us to start making that spotlight brighter/hotter on white supremacy, systematic racism, racism period, etc., to try to make some type of change....it probably wont happen during my lifetime, but that's cool....i just dont want mine, yours, nor others kids, grand kids, great grand kids, etc. to have to keep going through this bullshyt.....it's been generation after generation, when the hell are people gonna get feed up and tired of it?....

side note: even though it is fukked up, we need to take a page out of their book...we(blacks) need to start showing that united front...right now, we be the first ones to throw each other under the bus in front of others, while others dont do that shyt....we need to stop giving them a crack to exploit and divide us....

i'm right there with you....you would figure that these players would realize they have more power than they seem to think they do, but maybe they dont....the system does a good job of making them feel weak/less powerful than they really are...including making them think to keep the money coming in, they have to do/say/act a certain way....when in fact, it's them that's bringing the money in, and the owners need them just as much, if not more, than they need the owners...
