These are people who trained and knew this was coming. War is war.

I feel bad that they aren’t respected and looked after but then I think about the effect on innocent women and children they attack. :ld:

This might be legit the stupidest post I've ever read on this site
Yes and no. Had this conversation recently with a Army Chief Warrant Officer, talmout how his dad felt that even tho he was living with shrapnel in his body, the fact that he was walking around with a functioning mentality and dikk, that he couldn't "take money" from his brothers thru VA. He said he knew what the risks were and that's how his son "current gen" looks at it.

I serve and I know I'm fukked up a lil bit in a variety of ways. I didn't know at first, but then I learned and guess what? I reupped for more contractual obligation/money/training.

I got what I wanted and the Army got theirs out if me too. Equal exchange? Prally not. Too late to gripe, I'm gonna get my bread and I'm not "broken" ...back still strong and I'm still me. Everybody can't articulate adversity the same or life challenges even. The Army/Marines make average Nikkas think they strong, and it makes strong nikkas prove it. Period. shyt old as time.

Sign up for the armed forces thinking it’s going to be a cakewalk brehs.

Some ppl can’t handle it and some can. My gpa was in vietnam and he’s fine if anything working at a ford plant for 25+ years fukked him up more than the military. My younger brother is in it now. He says it sucks(dealing with incompetent soldiers below him and iofficers above him)but the benefits he gets are great and the free schooling when he gets out in March will be worth the 5 years. If he wasn’t married he would probably stay in. I

I want to know the statistics of special forces guys with ptsd vs regular combat jobs.

As for the tweet that said the brother was never deployed and killed himself he probably would’ve done it anyway or at college like ppl do too due to stress from that.

Also when I watch ww2 documentaries and shyt I’m like I don’t think we got dudes like that anymore. Maybe it’s the nostalgic presence it has, idk but those dudes were fighting fukking hitler and that crazy Japanese army.

All of you guys that down brehs for serving in the military need to understand that the corporations that we work for do just as much in pushing American Imperialism. Let these men carve a life for themselves the way they see fit without shytting on their ability to be at peace with their decisions. All of us are slaves to the elite, some of us just have more benefits.
