If they were to just cut checks, it would be one of the most tragic mistakes ever made. There are too many examples of athletes from poor backgrounds who blew through money, people who won the lottery and ended up broke, etc.. In this day and age of look at my chain and look at my bytch and look at my car, it would be criminally negligent to reduce reparations to cutting a check.

Yes, if it was just a cheque, I don't think much would change. Many would just blow through the money....then what? Ask for more? No. There needs to be more. Free education means there's no excuse... Assisstance for small business startups, home purchases, healthcare, childcare etc. Also some land needs to be redistributed. Money is just the beginning of the conversation IMO.

How could you say free education isn't the answer. How many are unable to go to College due to finances? You're talking about working for people...well, how do you think those business owners got to where they are now? Education. We're the only community so lax on education. There are no short cuts. For every short cut that makes...there are 50 more that don't.
