this is why that bernie ticket scares the shyt outta me in 2020. when it comes to hitting that voting booth, people are just gonna walk away from that nagging feeling of "fukk raising my taxes to pay for other people"

because people just arent prosperous like that :yeshrug: 80 percent of america lives paycheck to paycheck
this is why people have to be a little less simple minded. we can keep it to simple math but not so simple that you're too dumb to add up 2 +2.

tax me more if overall i'll pay less while also having better services for myself and my fellow citizens. i understand the math. i know that M4A would be better overall for everyone generally speaking. I know that it would be cheaper per person than the current ACA or any public option nonsense they come up with.i understand if we pool our funds together its more powerful than us trying to foot the bill on our own.

:mjlol:

You think people aren't struggling in this economy?

You think people care how the market is doing forreal?

The average joe got a 1% raise under Trump and don't have enough stocks to give a fukk about that. Most ppl don't even know their 401K is tied to the market.

are you guys serious with this shyt :dahell:

can someone name how, explicitly, bernie sanders is going to put more money in americans' pockets? which policy, and how you guarantee these results?
Which is literally the perfect reason why someone should vote for Bernie..... Jesus Christ

word, im glad to know you can see the future :mjlol: not even a single state has been able to roll out medicare for all, and the VA is a fukking disaster, but somehow we're going to roll out medicare for all for the entire country while at the same time not even having the courage to tell people they can't come here illegally.

i like bernie's vision of america; i don't have the confidence that he can make it happen. and can someone please direct me to the government's track record that says i should trust it to carry out medicare for all that covers 330 million people? :dahell:

Save money on healthcare, make the employee-employer relationship more equitable, save money on childcare, save money on education, etc

but the premise of all of this is that you have to tax other people to get it :dead: do americans have the right to be wary of the government forcibly taking your money for this stuff, without guaranteeing what the results look like? because i'm telling you they will be

look breh, if bernie would beat trump in a general, then he would easily beat biden in the primary :yeshrug: you shouldnt have anything to worry about. and when bernie beats biden, he has my vote. i won't be staying home on election day, or doing/saying any of the stupid shyt i was saying in 2016

I bet if you go down a list of policy issues like health care for all vs private insurance, more protections for workers and the environment and less tax breaks for corporations, funding for social safety nets or tax cuts for the wealthy, more people would trend moderate/left than conservative.

Also people can be liberal on social issues and conservative on economic issues.

It still surprises me that people who read these type of things actually think the people polled in the article actually told the truth about their political beliefs...

Well how about we give the guy with the best ideas and vision for our country a chance instead of just saying that he can’t accomplish anything he wants to do. What’s the alternative?
They're not voting for better state and local officials. I'm pretty sure they'll be fukked regardless until they buy into the entire process.
Honestly we need to be done with all this states rights bullshyt and make laws and regulations uniform across all 50 states but obviously that’s a long long ways off

hey, if bernie would beat trump in the general, then he should be able to crush biden in a primary that's solely the democrat base voting

i mean if bernie was going to beat trump in the general, he would be the clear frontrunner in every poll. the fact that he isnt tells me that he wouldnt win the general election

Taxes pay for our civilization. :yeshrug: Better it be spent on healthcare, education, infrastructure (all services that will not only improve the lives of the average American but also create plenty of decent paying jobs for Americans in the process) than on pointless wars. The better off the average American is, the more comfortable they will feel about taking business risks/consuming more which in turn benefits the economy. Not to mention the rich tends to hoard money, money that otherwise would be pumping into the economy. The nation can't thrive without a dose of socialism.
