The ideas for the movies were good, but the execution, casting, and writing were horrible...

Killing Lucian in the first movie
-Amelia was one of the three elders and they just killed her off by the B team of Lycon's like it was nothing. Again
The writing of the Corvinus storyline in the second movie
-Marcus should of been more of a boss than he was. Involving his brother was stupid and don't even get me started on the father showing up and being "the human immortal crap"
Everyone loves Beckinsale-but her and Michael had no business defeating Marcus....
-Matter of fact, the whole writing of Michael's character was Speedman is a horrible actor and the casting of the character just really ruined him.
Didn't even watch the fourth film-Don't need to. Heard it was

The writers know they fukked up killing Lucian and Viktor off too early so they made the third film. Which was alright but the blunders of the first two film's couldn't make up for it.

Perfect example of why this series failed. Lucian and Viktor were the stars of the first movie.

I think you confused again. The 2nd one was dope. Marcus and William wrecked that entire fukking movie. shytting on Celene every chance they got. She had to go to Alexander Corvinus and drink his blood to get on their level. But Michael beasted on William and tore his mouth apart and Celene even put Marcus through those helicopter blades. The backstory with how they made her father build the tomb for William was dope and it even showed more history of the Lycans and the different kinds were dope. That movie was the shyt. I forgot I even have the Trilogy pack on Blu Ray.

Now the 4th one was trash and I dont even consider it a true part of the story.

because they are forgettable popcorn movies....enjoyable, but only for the moment.

Everytime a new one comes out, i have to rewatch all the other ones because they are so forgetable.

Aside from certain scenes, if you asked me anything about these movies, i couldnt tell you a thing.

My opinion on the Underworld movies, is that it panders too much to the High School Goth crowd. Personally I find it dumb with the SMG guns, and constant brooding. Its like "Its pretty cool to be a vampire." but really don't show excitement about it. Not surprised in a sense, as I guess the company that made Resi Evil didn't want to be hated on by the Goths for not giving them this stuff.

It's not Twilight bad, but this stuff is best for High School. This franchise could do much better, and simplify shyt with a reboot.

I love the series even tho they do leave a lot to be desired on the writing. Like i would love to see a prequel about Viktor and the other originals to see how they took over and established their laws.

They also need a better fight choreographer instead of just bussin guns and over powered punches like in the 4th when celine was folding nikkas up on the fire escape but it was still trash

It seems like one of those franchises that keep throwing out sequel after sequel with no endgame to tie the series up.
