Hahahaha they sent those bombers the night after china announced it, the recon wont start until after chinese new years (jan 2014). the U.S sent those Korean and Japanese planes to save face in front of their allies, but I bet they wont fly them after Jan. Word around town, is china WILL shoot them down, AND behind the scene, sell 1 billion dollars of bonds (your media wont tell yout that part). Lets just say, there will be no flights in 2014. Bet. :pachaha:

technically they cant force us to pay them if they shoot a plane down we're clear of debt we just go to war

Tommy sounds like a mouthpiece for the party.

You reppin Zhongguo, huh?

:rudy:

Let's not pretend like the ChiComs are playing some masterful game of Risk when they have enough trouble suppressing internal dissent and staying in power.

:whoa:

China is even worse than the US -- political magicians using sleight of hand to divert the commoner's attention to matters that stir up nationalism, while hiding the fact that the people are getting screwed left and right. The rich are getting richer, while the poor get poorer.

Wake me up when local corruption isn't rampant. When people are allowed to think freely and innovate, rather than reverse engineer and steal to catch up. When rote memorization is kicked to the curb. When it isn't a horrendously polluted shythole with all sorts of toxic chemicals found throughout everyday products from corner cutting businessmen. When there's some sort of legal system. When the thousands of labor protests you never hear about disappear. When the books aren't cooked in major businesses and government. When there's real competition in business to improve the market.

I could go on for days. China is given credibility because there are nukes and a lot of people. And they got more attention in recent years because they manufactured everything for us at slave labor wages and conditions. Other than that? Yawn. They won't be fukking with US for a long time.

China sent its own warplanes to the area

Japan, Korea and China are about to go at it.
Like I said. next year they're not going to back down.

Im not here to convince or even argue. I'm giving you what the media here is saying, how you want to take it, accept it is up to you. Im giving the other side of the coin. Your media tells you one thing, as well as false information on chinese intent, and the chinese media outlet does the same thing.

You can see the chess moves they are making. Just pay attention. Actions speak louder than words, and they are clearly making moves. The U.S...not so much. I'm hearing a lot of hypotheticals and wishful thinking......

Like the chinese say

Way to conveniently ignore my thread calling you out on the Chinese running America.

Anyway, Americas involvement in these islands is minimal. Our only involvement in this situation is to get Japan's back and to reduce the risk of a regional conflict. If anything were to happen, Japan will attack way before the US needs to get involved.

I am. Ol patriotic red white and blue, but gets pulled over for no reason ass nikka.

Yeah, I'm actually not that patriotic... I just lived in China for years and know that it's currently so far behind the US in so many ways, it's laughable to watch others feel threatened by such a colossal dump.

I don't feel like arguing with 5 patriotic people. It would just go in circles and no would even attempt to see the chinese side, so why bother?

I live here now. And they are def behind socially, culturally etc etc, BUT economically, they def have the means to protect their new borders, and take a lot of pride (save face) to maintain it right now. Word around town, is that next year theyre going to do their own 'asian pivot' and flex in the REGION, not intentionally (theyre not ready)

Chinese jets shadowed US and Japanese planes in new air defense zone

Chinese fighter jets were scrambled and followed US and Japanese planes that had entered the newly-proclaimed Chinese air defense zone in the disputed area of the East China Sea, Xinhua reports.

Two US surveillance aircraft and 10 Japanese F-15 jets were ‘tailed’ by Chinese pilots on Friday.

China ordered an urgent dispatch of its Su-30 and J-10 fighter jets to an area in the East China Sea after the foreign aircraft “invaded” the air defense zone, they said.

The reported intrusions came in defiance of the East China Sea Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ), established by Beijing last week.

China’s move has triggered outrage from several states in the region and critical rhetoric from the US, as the vast zone covers disputed areas, including the islets claimed by both China and Japan.

Earlier on Thursday, the Chinese Air Force conducted its first air patrol flights over the zone, as Japan and South Korea sent their own military aircraft into the zone's airspace in an act of defiance.

China has stressed its decision to enforce the airspace identification zone - which requires all aircraft flying over or near it to identify themselves - follows common international practices and “is a necessary measure in China’s exercise of self-defense rights.”

No international flights will be affected by the setup of the zone, Chinese Air Force spokesman, Shen Jinke, told Xinhua.

Japan and its US ally blasted the decision as “unacceptable” and rejected the “unilateral” declaration, saying it would create dangerous tension. However, Chinese officials gave a reminder that both countries have long had their own ADIZ, and that the Japanese never discussed theirs with their neighbor.

“If they want it revoked, then we would ask that Japan first revoke its own air defense identification zone and China will reconsider it after 44 years,” China’s Defense Ministry spokesman, Yang Yujun, said in a statement posted on the ministry’s website on Thursday.

While possible action against the zone’s infiltrators has been vaguely defined as “defensive emergency measures,” The Global Times, a Chinese state media newspaper, on Friday called for “timely countermeasures without hesitation,” should Tokyo violate the new ADIZ.

At the same time, the paper suggested China could ignore violations by some other states, including the US. Two US military B-52 bombers flew over the area on Monday without prior notice, with a Pentagon spokesman telling Reuters we “have continued to follow our normal procedures.”
