Literally one of the most overrated movies of all time, an average feature that is propped because of a good cast (Spacey, Baldwin, etc.) and a trick twist.
First of all, I think trick twists (ones that fool the audience dishonestly, a.k.a ones that do not deceive the audience by presenting all the evidence in a sly way but rather trick the audience with a dishonest narrator) are basically lazy. Verbal Kint is just a dishonest narrator more than anything
Second of all, poorly written with poorly developed characterization. Basically plays like a primitive 1930s crime caper
Such an overrated movie that is somehow talked about with the greats because of a twist that isnt even that good. One of the most overrated films I've ever seen

but you might be right about the plot twist, it kinda blew my mind so I had to elevate it on my movie list
