Just finished watching season 2. Them building this whole season around OJ Simpson dying is absolutely hilarious :lolbron:

I definitely enjoyed this as much as (or maybe a bit more than) the first season. Hopefully, this continues to be a thing because surreal humor is my type of comedy. Vince Staples’ comedic timing is really good.

New season is out, 6 episodes.

Just watched the first episode and it seems to have the same vibe as the 1st season.

Episode one had me :mjlol: so I'd say it's off to a good start.

I really dig the surrealism and humor. It does come off as a lighter, purely comedic version of Atlanta at times but I don't mind :yeshrug:

While the show doesn't have the same depth of social commentary as Atlanta, they do throw some gems in there.

That part in Episode 3 when the homeless lady tells Vince she doesn't see much "colored boys" in that (all white) neighborhood :mjpls:

He helps her pick up her stuff then says it isn't safe for her to be outside. She tells him something like "It isn't safe for you to be outside either".

That had me on edge thinking the cops or racists were going to run up on Vince :lupe:

After 3 eps the only disappointment is that Deja hasn't appeared yet. :noah:

Nah, this show is a wild ride!! Especially S2 episodes 4-6 and the "Black Excellence Club" :whoo:

@Ziggiy if you ever get around to watching those episodes, I'd be curious to see your take. You have the best breakdowns on the Coli, bar none! :salute:

I do think the topic of Black elites was covered in that show that I don't want to keep comparing TVSS to, but for me episodes 4-6 really hit home.

I like that they told a consistent story throughout the whole season this time,. And with that cliffhanger ending, they gotta give him at least one more season.

After this, I feel like re-watching that ESPN OJ Simpson documentary. "Shout out to Uncle James, you showed me who not to be" :deadrose:
